It reminds me of the Endwalker artbook that had a viera male wearing something that resembled an unique hempen set. Alas, I don't know where I saw that scanned page, and can't find it again.

Since they are re-releasing old sets with updated textures I really think they could do that of the hempen sets, but unlocked cross race.

Unlike the actual starter gear, those hempen items have no cultural-defining features for the races they're locked on anyways. They just look like... really common pieces of clothing or just pajamas. The great aspect of those items, however, is that their simplicity makes them work very well matched with more complex items.

It's actually my 2nd favorite, right after the Elezen one. But yeah, this wouldn't be an issue if we could just wear the ones we like. Glamour is the real endgame, it makes no sense to restrict it.

They should of given you a custom one than reuse assets.
I'm looking forward to (H)Rothgals when they release, but would absolutely abhor if they got a copy paste outfit.

(While I also would like Hempen Sets to Release. Rather races to have their Race Specifc Hempen Sets. And then SE release more Small Clothes Variants for all to wear.)

This has been mentioned before, but the Korean version actually offers some replica DoH/DoL gear on the shop, and while I don't want us to get unlocked gear that way, they clearly know there's an audience for it. So hopefully the restrictions can be removed!

If we get unrestricted glamour I'll end up subbing for twice as long as I usually do. Fairly certain I won't be the only one so that's easy profit for SE.

Been thinking of a reason why they cannot or will not do it. My current working theory is that it’s either technical or gameplay reason. They cannot remove restrictions because it’s “all or nothing” situation so they cannot remove job restrictions on armor without doing so on weapons. (gotta love spaghetti code), and removing those on weapons would be buggy due to animation problems.

Or it’s a gameplay reason that by limiting all classes armors they can control how much any armor is desirable and how many people would play content for it. Admittedly that’s a weak one since that really only applies to pvp series armors.
