We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

On a side note, the shorts included with the new set are similar to those included in one of Y’shtola’s sets and the ones that I think were from a moonfire fair several years ago. I think the new ones have a different texture, but they are dyeable and the others are not. So yeah, gotta pay up for dyeing, even if you already did.

Adding my support to the idea that glam restrictions are ridiculous at this point and should be removed.

I think the best implementation is that anything that goes into the glamour dresser becomes an "All" jobs, change the value specifically in the dresser itself.

That way it can only be applied as glamour.

Man... The AR-Cean Velvet Top of Striking would work so well with my SGE glam. Too bad I can't use it because of role restrictions on glamor.

At this point, it should not be a hard ask to be given such an option. To add to the example given by OP, the class restriction does not make any sense when you consider that PvP sets are also available to all classes, and they, for example, look like this:

I can understand and respect them not wanting to let job specific gear be used by anyone (not hand/land however, let me just use that blacksmith chest wrap already) but then I remember that the 750 tome gear for healers is literally just a white mage robe....

Role restrictions on glam is stupid for many reasons and should be discarded, would be nice to not have the same exact item take up several slots in my dresser just because one is for tank and the other is for maiming and there are already plenty level 1 glamours that will make it hard to tell what someone is at a glance (pvp armors/swimsuits/mascot suits/etc.)

Unfortunately this is impossible and will cause the servers so much stress that they will spontaneously combust. Just like adding check marks to collectables you already have!

Would be easier to do what they’ve already done in the past… slowly sunset older gear to be “All Classes.” Why they stopped doing that at a certain point is beyond me. Nothing that isn’t current expansion gear needs to be restricted.
