Let us choose our combat soundtrack

Title suggestion! There are so many good combat themes, for me was so nice to hear FFIV's at some point in EW story, but sadly is in a very brief area.

Would be nice if once we "hear" in combat, it would be added to a list of combat tracks so we could set that as default.

I would enjoy the option to override the Shadowbringers normal battle theme.

I'd probably use the Endwalker dungeon boss theme for basically everything.

I seem to already have this option. System config -> Master Volume -> Off.

Queue up music I like, and listen to that instead of game music. It's not that the FF music is bad - no, far from it, the FF music is excellent. It's just that hearing the same score, even an excellent score, over and over and over becomes quite boring to me. Sometimes I need something fresh instead of the thousandth repeat of a zone theme.

...I get what you are saying, though. A portable Orchestrion-type device to select game music anywhere and anytime in-game would be fun and cool.

As I've heard it, each zone is limited in the number of tracks that can be available to play. Is also why mounts often come with generic mount music.

Yea if a garlond ironworks mp3 player was added it would have to be limited in its tracklist, I would honestly be ok if such ah hypothetical feature just had 1.0 starting areas combat bgm to select from, that way its a small selection of songs most haven't heard of and it's compositions already done (licensing issues not being considered here)

But I don't mean exactly that, but only something that would allow us to change the combat music to one of the handful that appeared yet in the game.

If I'm not mistaken they mentioned something like a portable orchestrion being technically challenging, however I'm not sure if it would be the same difficulty as to change the battle track, which seems to be something imposed on top of the regular bgm.

i turn off normal combat music because it so weird for me, just walking around enjoying the map theme then suddenly change to combat music, not even 30 seconds in, combat finish, map theme start from beginning again ugh i hate that, the same reason why i turn off mount music.

boss music still dope though because it fit the situation.

I've had mount music off for ages, but only recently discovered I could turn off battle music as well. It was just too jarring to me, as you mentioned, to constantly be going in and out of the different music.

Wouldn't be opposed to being able to select your battle music choice though. Options never hurt.
