The fuzzy memory covered both the memory of the identities of the warriors of light, as well as the memory of what happened to Bahamut. We know Louisoix was heavily involved with the latter. And he also just happened to use crazy time magic to yank the warriors of light out of temporal existence just before that. I find it likely both areas of memory loss are tied to Louisoix, either bc of the specific time magic he used (in both cases. seemed like he fought Bahamut in a time bubble to me.); or bc he, like it’s revealed in coils, didn’t want Eorzeans to know about him becoming a primal. Could also be some mix of both, with his desire for secrecy interacting with the time magic he had too recently used, in some unanticipated way, and that’s why the 1.0 warriors got included in the memory wipe that was originally supposed to include only him and Bahamut.
