There are four main places we have seen or know of Raen populations so far:

Doma and Hingashi – Japanese-based culture. Some are city dwellers, some live in isolated villages. Naturally the ninja and samurai jobs originate from here, but you're also going to find people wielding other weapons like bows and spears, or magic. (While not a playable job, geomancers are seen in a few quests and they seem to be essentially conjurers by another name.) You may want to research historical Japanese weaponry if you want your character to come from here.

The Azim Steppe – Mongolian-based and primarily home to the Xaela tribes, but we know at least one (Malaguld) will take in Raen exiles, and the Kha are generally interested in making contact with foreign cultures.

Thavnair – Indian/Persian. The only job specifically originating from here is dancer, but again they have all sorts of weaponry. I can think of characters wielding swords, spears and daggers, and mages as well.

Werlyt – vaguely defined European-based area in the central continent of Ilsabard, occupied by the Garleans. We only meet a few characters from there and I don't think any were shown with playable jobs, so you can make up whatever you want, really.

Ultimately, anywhere that has a dungeon or has ever had a gearset themed around its clothing style will have themed weapons for most/all classes, so you can make an argument for all of the jobs existing anywhere.

I don't have a source for that particular quote, but I can point out the ninja quests – "Princess Yuki of the Yatsurugi clan" is known to Oboro, so they are not hidden away. She seems to be from Hingashi.

Also from memory there are Auri enemies in the Hingashi Castle dungeon.

jobs dont come ftom specific races but from certain areas. so i guess we could assume most dragoons in this world are elezen since dragoons originate from ishgard which is mainly an elezen city.

there is nothing coming to mind for raen au ra though.

maybe samurai as a job from hingashi or dancer from thavnair

I'm glad someone brought this up, because I've been thinking of a similar question. I love coming up with headcanon for my character for RP and for personal use as I travel across Hydaelin, especially when creating my own NPCs.

How much do we know of the New World? I know it's the homeland of the Mamool Ja and the Whalaqee tribe, but there has to be more to it than those. Would it be safe to assume that Miqo'te may have traveled there during the Age of Endless Frost? I was thinking of a Miqo'te adventurer who would be from the New World, maybe from a village or even a large city.

Classes/jobs fitting certain races sometimes becomes a question in my mind, too, like how the heck Lalafell can be tanks, but I wouldn't worry too much about that. With the way the over-arcing story is set up, anything can be anything. Lalafells can even be tanks. Just look at Pipin.

I heard Samurai, and is what I am playing now. Are there others?

    Thank you in advance!
Raen can be anything, but the most lore consistent Jobs for Raen are the Eastern ones, Ninja and Samurai in particular.

Raen clans are a sociological retainer caste. Clans raise their children to be professional warriors and bodyguards, and hire them out on contract to the lords of the East. They are likely born under contract, if we're to assume the same formal responsibilities of samurai retainers during the Japanese shogunate applies to at least some of these relationships.

"Believing themselves the children of the Dawn Father, the forebears of the Raen left behind their homeland to settle across Othard. They were received with hatred and hostility by other races in the early years, until a prominent warlord of Yanxia, impressed with their valor, forged an alliance with the strange race and took them on as retainers. Before long, the Raen had assumed a prominent role as warriors in the service of countless great warlords. Some ventured across the sea to the Far East, where they earned a reputation as legendary swordmasters."

    -Encyclopaedia Eorzea vol. I, p. 91

"The Raen have fully assimilated to the cultures of Doma and Hingashi, and live faithfully according to the regions' traditions. Perhaps owing to their heritage and the status they gained in the service of their warlords, they place particular importance on hierarchy and the master-servant relationship."

Pure baloney. Where did you even come up with this?

Samurai and Ninja are the quintessentially Far Eastern jobs, though they also have their own form of thaumaturgy mixed in with divination (onmyojutsu) and conjury (geomancy; some commonalities with astromancy, too.) Although this game lacks racial archetypes to the degree WoW does, any of those jobs would fit. Thavnairian specialisations wound fit well too if you're going with that as a background.

However, Au Ra in general do fit many jobs. Your dark knight job trainer for higher levels is an Au Ra, and there are major story characters who are warriors, black mages, and bards, and we see minor characters fighting with swords and with katanas.
I wouldn't say that's quite accurate - from vol 2 of the EE:

And even in Sui-no-Sato, the palace had its guards.

Even if they were, it wouldn't matter, because Hingashi is ruled by the bakufu, a military government. The imperial household is more of a figurehead.

Ah vol 1, no wonder I couldn't find those.

Most jobs' lore is not tied to any race aside from maybe gunbreaker that would make more sense for Hrothgar and maybe dragoon for Elezen/hyur since it originate from Ishgard.
You have some jobs that lore wise are mainly limited to your character like white mage where aside from Padjals nobody exept the warrior of light could get their hands on a job crystal or black mage where only a few individuals get access to a crystal since using black magic is illegal due to its history.
And on the other hand you've got paladins handing over their job crystals like tic tac.

If you want something that tie more to a RP that would fit a Raen that is not initially an adventurer I guess Samurai, Ninja or Dancer would be your best bet considering most of the other jobs got resurrected recently out of necessity in Eorzea.
If you want to go solely with the weapon type, chances are a Raen could've picked up pretty much any weapon where they're from aside from the specific ones like gun/gunblade, red mage's swordstaff, summoner/scholar's book and Sage's nouliths.

But as long as you find a reason why your character would have got their hands on a job crystal you can safely play any job without worrying about it since the whole point of a job crystal is to transfer the knowledge stored within it to someone able to attune with the crystal.

Lore-wise, jobs are usually more tied to locations than races. For example, most dragoons tend to be elezen or hyur because they're from Ishgard, not out of any intrinsic racial specialization. About the only exception I can think of offhand is white mage, which is supposed to be restricted to Padjals after the War of the Magi caused a Calamity; the player can do it anyway, because main character plot power, yo.

The player is always treated as an outlier when picking up a new job anyway, usually arriving in just the nick of time and showing enough promise to impress someone into handing you a job crystal.

Woa, many replies and very varied. From every job to Samurai/Ninja. Learned a little about the race as well. So most Raen are scattered, but the Xaela held their domains?

Traveling around the world looks interesting to my RP, as I plan on making him just that, a [Insert X foreign class here] that arrived/retired in Gridania and is learning a new art (Lancer or anything).
