Au Ra Raen Class

Hello there. I am new here and to the game, currently playing Au Ra. I would like to know what class, storywise, fits them the most?

Since I am still in Heavensward (beggining) and have not seen any Au Ra but the Ninja one, I do not know what class or job is mostly seen around them or they excel the most (Storywise, I know I could be any class).

I heard Samurai, and is what I am playing now. Are there others?

Everything. Unlike WoW, every race here can be everything and everything actually fits them. Well... most does.
Many jobs in-game are either: "We're too few and you're chosen to represent us!" or "We want to teach the world about our job and you're our first step to that!"

I agree. In wow there are many. For example, Night Elves can be many classes but mostly you will see them as Archers, Priests or Druids.

Is there nothing similar with the races here? Like... Au Ra can be every class but they are mostly... Ninjas or another one? I play my main class which is Dragoon, but seeking a very fitting class or job storywise. Though if there is not one, I think that's pretty alright as well.

The Raen form a diaspora that spans pretty much the entirety of the Three Great Continents. There are enclaves in the Ruby Sea and Werlyt is/was a population center, but with them basically anything will work.

If you do SB MSQ you'll know it's more complicated than that. The Au'ra, and especially the Raen integrate themselves with the countries and lands they migrate to.
I think this is actually intentional by the devs so players who want to roleplay as Au'ra don't have to stick to one or two jobs but feel free to take up whatever they want.

If you're wanting a lore-accurate job, then I should point out that the raen don't really fight. Most of them live in hidden, hard to access settlements. The only notable raen I can think of who does fight is a ninja.

However, Au Ra in general do fit many jobs. Your dark knight job trainer for higher levels is an Au Ra, and there are major story characters who are warriors, black mages, and bards, and we see minor characters fighting with swords and with katanas.

"The ninja one" is the most notable Raen, and one of the few to have an identifiable job.
If you've left the main settlements, you're already a bit weird by Raen standards. So take anything you want.
Nothing wrong with sticking with the Dragoon job the forums say you have. Even if the Ishgard-types think you're descended from evil dragons. (You aren't).

Gameplay wise, practically everyone will try out multiple classes, and it's not uncommon at all to level all 19 on the same character.

Not every Raen hides as the current ruling race in Hingashi are the Raen. Then there's Radz-at-Han where we see various Au Ra as part of the Raidient Host weilding Swords and Shields. Lore wise I'd put them under the Gladiator umbrella as Paladins and Free Paladins are more of an Ul'dah thing. Au Ra can also be conjures as one shows up in the HW WHM story. But yes OP Au Ra seen in the story have been just about any job. It just depends on how strict you want to be with what you find acceptable. Just always switch over to the job if you choose a class that you don't see an Au Ra portray as said job. Also just know that npcs tend to cheat when it comes to skill use.

Can you cite this? I don't recall the Mitsurugi clan's race being mentioned anywhere. Nor the Hingan emperor's.
