why are jobs so homogenized

Currently, there are people who unequip gear to force them to get the lvl 50 Alliance raids in the roulette; this leads to a severe lack of variety in the roulette and leads to the other raids not seeing as much light inside the roulette. Could something be changed so uneuipping gear would not have an effect and you're still given an even chance to get any one of the alliance raids?

I’d like to know their thoughts on the position of ranged dps relative the to the other dps jobs? Currently many players feel like the ranged dps only exists in parties now to give the 1% role stat boost, and not because of the jobs themselves.
