And visually? I don't look at the Queen 99% of the time. But a "stronger explosive punch" is visually boring.

In ShB you press the button and you forget about the Queen.

MCH AoE gameplay was bad in ShB too (like many other jobs, tbf) but at least it didn't look awful. Scattershot looks bad and I don't feel it improved gameplay much. With the current animation using it more than once feels stupid, it looks like it's supposed to be the AoE Drill, not a spammable. I personally vastly prefer Spread Shot. And now that I think of it, more heat only makes the issue worse because Auto Crossbow suffers from the same "not intended as a spammable" animation while constantly reminding me that Heat Blast at least resets oGCD charges.

And, look, I get it, you really don't like Queen. It's not great, sure. But neither is "copy RPR's Enshroud and put us in a mech because Edgar did it".
