That's the thing though everquest was inherently flawed in many ways and honestly did try and come up with new stuff.
FF14 doesn't really do that. I'm not sure why people think it's bait when more of the same is literally what this expansion is.
Granted Farmville is coming but it's still not in game yet. So I'd love to here the argument that they've really did something innovative this expansion.
MSQ value is subjective but getting a story is pretty much expected that's really the bare minimum requirement. Obviously everyone will have different opinions, but I'm pretty sure if you gave everyone a button they could hit for new innovative features and pve content to be added to the game or a more of the same button and a they had to do was hit the button (regardless of button story wouldn never ne compromised) they would hit the innovative button.
Perhaps I'm totally off base here, but there's many of us that have done raid content for example and honestly it's starting to feel like a been there done that environment. You can only rearrange the same handful of mechanics so many times.
Then you look at other systems like housing were its reaching one house per 200 players it's time to start making better and new systems for many areas of the game. I mean honestly you can't tell me whoever designed it thought it was a good idea.
Dungeons are reaching a point where tanks no longer need healers and healers don't need tanks. Pve content could use a refresh. Perhaps some 8 man dungeons multiple difficulty. (Things they did in the past) I highly doubt most if the community would be against more stuff to do.
