Going by the names of a few NPCs, in particular the one in Limsa, you can literally mash your face into the keyboard and still be good to go for lore.

What's between those? Not a lore name, but also not a meme name?

Mmm, I'd have to wonder too, say, the Seeker name "L'olkaht Tia"?

The apparent faceroll names can be parsed for meaning:

Ahldskyf → ahld (old) + skyf (ship)
Unsynrael → unsyn (innocent) + rael (doe)
Smydhaemr → smyd (smith) + haemr (hammer)
Soemrwyb → soemr (summer) + wyb (woman)

Roegadyn names are Germanic-flavored, so a lot of the name pieces will make sense if you speak English or German. For the pieces that don't sound familiar, there's Thread: Roegadyn Dictionary.

"Door Stop"

"Door Stop" doesn't work as a Hellsguard name though; it doesn't have the adjective-noun or verbing-noun format.

"Slamming Door", on the other hand...
