Game crashes when opening configuration.

So, I've been trying to load ff14 for a while now. I keep getting errors similar to this one, and if I click OK or the X at the top, it hard crashes. The same thing happens if I try to load any configuration menus, both from the main menu and in game.


(if image isn't loading, i've been getting an error in mostly japanese, but also lists some files with partial extentions in the following order:

ffxiv_dx11.exe+14BD087
ffxiv_dx11.exe+14BF4D9
ffxiv_dx11.exe+14B84E1
ffxiv_dx11.exe+1456059
KERNEL32.DLL+17034
ntdll.dll+52651
I've been made aware on reddit that these just tell the error tracker what went wrong on what file)

I've done a repair and also a clean install, and I'm still getting this error. I have also updated my drivers. A lot of the default tech-support options told me to load my configuration menu, which I can't do, else the game crashes. Any ideas?
