Hello Everyone!
Since the latest rework of SMN and especially after reaching level 90 I find SMN not that much engaging anymore. The level 90 gem phases are fine I think but the Bahamut and Pheonix phases consist of too much one button spamming.
I wondered how Bahamut and Pheonix phases would work out if instead of the button smashing on CD the base action would be a charging up sort of channeling. I haven't seen a post regarding that, sorry if another Post with that Idea allready existed.
I'm thinking of a click and release channel that starts when hitting the button and accumulates damage up to releasing the button and firing the cast.
Add a max threshhold for the damage with a bonus for max charge time reached and let the corresponding Egi fire scaling on the built up damage on release. The accumulation status could even be presented on the allready existing Gauge.
This way the Bahamut and Pheonix phases could be more challenging and still to some extend as plug-and-play and action oriented as it is now.
I'm not a developer and don't know how and if this could be implemented.
What do you think about this Idea ?
