Regarding latency issues from players outside NA

Sigh, here I am again. I think my next step will be finding someone who is fluent in japanese so I can complain in the Japanese Forum, maybe this way someone from SE will read this.

So if possible could that person provide us with more information on the official forums like where they live, who their internet service provider is, what world they are connecting to, and any sort of ping information they can gather? Or else I'm afraid it is difficult to provide an accurate answer to that. Would you happen to have any information on-hand right now?

I live in Ponta Grossa - Paraná - Brazil(Google Maps Link) and as you can see, it's quite far you know? The distance is 10.243 km, or 6365 miles if you only now the Imperial Units. Anyway, my internet providor is Oi (Link), and I currently have a 25 Mb/s internet plan. I play using Wi-Fi, but from near server I get an okay ping and good internet speed.
As you see, this is my ping test for the Brazillian League of Legends Client server, which is located in São Paulo:

Omg, yes, if the server is close enough you can play with low ping, wow. 15 ms.
And now, this is the ping test for the Primal datacenter (I currently play in Lamia). The IP I used is 204.2.229.10

202 ms, yes, terrible.
Here's the thing: we have no way of knowing how many South American are there, but we are here. Our friends from Oceania got their own server after coming to the forum and asking for a very very long time, and I'm here to do the same. We know the rest of the world is not priority for you, we know you care first-hand for the japanese players, but we are here. We consume this game, we pay for our subscription.
I'm an endgame player, I do Savage Raids and all this stuff, and you know how frustrating is it to play with 200 ms? I use Mudfish to try to mitigate it, but it's not enough. I'm not asking for a brazillian server, a South American one would help us already. I don't care about translations and VA's, we only want to play with a decent ping.

I'm afraid that without South America servers there is nothing a player can do to improve the ping significantly. So you should be very vocal to get a South America data centre.

A couple thoughts
one, the General English forum may not be the best place for this. I honestly dont know if SE pays much attention here. if anything technical support might at least get eyes on it from someone that could escalate it as a technical issue, here, not a chance.
two. have you tried the new Oceana server to test what the ping is like there?
three. I would fully expect some place located within your borders, well within the scope of your ISP to have decent ping. the IP you are going through is through at least 7 countries with varying levels of service etc. I am not sure how much influence SE would have over those ISP's

ultimately, your best attempt to get your own server would be, post somewhere that things likely have a system for tracking issues, like support forums. a couple people complaining in the general english forum will not get you anywhere, why? its not monitored. Technical Support people do not monitor this forum to check for issues. your best chance for any visibility on this kind of issue is going to be in that kind of venue.

I am also from Brazil and it's honestly not even that bad. I'm in Belo Horizonte and only have the help of a certain primal who can control time. I also do savage raids and have cleared an ultimate. The last thing I would want is a south america/brazil DC, Behemoth is bad enough already

small edit: yes, I agree that we shouldn't be forced to use third party tools just to be able to play on par with other players, but it is what it is. Until something similar is implemented into the game (very unlikely), it's the best we can do

I am also a player from Brazil, actually... um... I'm from Ponta Grossa as well LOL that catched my eye. I do Savages and Ultimates too and its mostly fine without any VPN, mudfish used to just break my game real bad

Playing from PC is fine that way, even if it means using third party tools like beifang said, it is what it is.

My game was totally unplayable four days a week because of two nodes, people in the support part of the forum have posted about the nodes too and it's the same nodes causing problems so everyone going through them have the same issue.
My only solution was to use Mudfish to get around it, which I have to pay extra for...
The game is buttery smooth for me with Mudfish but I shouldn't have to pay extra on top of the sub just to get to play when I want before I could only play on Tuesdays to Thursday every other day of the week was completely unplayable with severe rubber-banding.

Edit: And even on Tuesdays to Thursdays I could still get random rubber-banding...
There's not much we can do individually about it there's a higher chance of solving the issue if SE call them and ask them wtf is going on.
Especially when it's the same nodes causing a problem.

People have been trying for a long time on the Technical Support forum, all you ever get is the same generic non-answers that don't even engage with the actual problems stuff about anti-virus etc even when people literally post evidence of the actual problem.

I'm sure it is significantly worse down in SA, but over on the east coast we frequently ran into similar issues due to certain nodes from Level 3, and more recently NTT.

Having to use a third party tool to route around the bad nodes absolutely sucks, but the only people who have any clout to get the ISPs to fix the problem is SE. Our local IPS are only responsible for the end point and the notes in their control.

There is absolutely nothing you can do besides waiting for SE to release a DC for South America which I think it not gonna happen because they would have to finally translate the whole game to Spanish.

More than that, we subscribed loyally and built a huge community all paying subscriptions for 9 years while effectively taking over at least 2 servers in Japan. LATAM needs to do the same. I wish you well, and hope you get them... but yep, it will take time. The server upgrades for Japan, NA and EU are slated in for the next few years at least.

Keep getting all your friends to subscribe, as that is the metric SE will look at, how many people are subscribed from LATAM addresses.

FFXIV is available officially in Brazil.

Brazilians speak Português, not Spanish. A lot are polyglots and speak English, German, Japanese, and French too.

Lol. When I bought my 3DS years ago it would not let me feed India as a country of residence at all. At least I was allowed to do that when I made my Square Enix account. I didn't have to give any fake addresses, there's even supposed to be an Indian division of SE, apparently. I'm sure others who weren't from almighty USA or Japan were able to do the same, but only later faced a hurdle dealing with such concentrated DCs. When the lead director isn't aware of this issue... it's evident how much they care.

Also Brazil would be Portuguese, BTW.
