    Water based elemental magic?

Can we get news about Water spells? or there wont be any at all? asking cause there is plenty of not "dated" gear for water elemental enhancents wich seems pointless.

    Water potency effects Cure.

Also, there are no paralyze/poison/silence/absorb/slow and there aren't any plans to implement them before the launch of version 2.0. However, as we move forward, if it becomes absolutely necessary to utilize them, we will look into it.

My thought is that they will be releasing new mage classes in 2.0, one of which will specialize in water, light, and dark magic. Personally, I'd bet that Arcanist is being re-design with those spells, plus debuffs in mind. We need a good DoT / Debuffer class in the game.
Again, pure speculation, but for as many people that are playing this game with all combat classes at level cap, they will HAVE to implement new classes for those players to stay engaged.

At present, water magic potency does not impact Cure. Uncertain if this is intended or not.

I'm sure they'll add water spells when the level cap increases.

Err.. What I should say is cure is water-based

As the quote from Rukkirii mentions. CNJ/WHM controls water/earth/wind type magics. I cant elaborate any better than that. If that doesn't work I don't know what will lol.
