Mine's still in the box, along with an unused security token (I already got one from FFXI).
If I could draw, it would be a sketch book. If I took handwritten notes, it would be a notebook, but that's what I got a netbook for.

Love it!I love the journal! I am halfway through so I use it more sparingly now. I am interested to hear others creative uses for it. For me though, some quick examples off head:
Started off with day by day overdramaticisms on my battle endeavors
Day 1: "the road to victory is paved with wharf rabbit blood!"
and do's and don'ts guides for my classes, so I could share my wisdom one day
Dos and Donts of being a Pugilist:
Do: punch things in the face
Don't: stop punching them in the face
then i started writing down crafters and NPCs of interest, and leves to avoid like the plague, and good craft recipes
somehow then evolved into a quote book
"whats life if you never pull down your shorts and slide on the ice!"
"it's not whether you win or loose, as long as you come in first"
now I kinda just doodle players and cool looking gear I see, and write random things that cross my mind, since most helpful game knowledge is burned into my memories eye
I contemplated Dear Yoshi-P letters. The kind that I could, but'll never send. (I.e.
Dear Yoshi-P,
Please share more photos of your adventures around the world.

But overdramatized quotes sounds like fun too!

I love the journal too, no artworks upside down
I have some recipes in it but also some poems ,some things that come to my mind.
Lol i listed all the things to not!^^ throw away, because they are needed for blacksmith.
This journal is the best part of this CE, better than the tumbler(you cant drink anything that would not destroy it^^,like milk) im sorry for this grammar
There are plenty of pages left for me, but i will write new things during my future adventures in eorzea![]()

Been using mine since day one, I use it for Account names, Passwords, other infos that I usually forget, Cd keys and ummm I dunno some other stuffs? :3 Maybe use it for crafting sometime who knows.
It's still sat in the box. I had forgot about it.
I have a question. Was anyone else a little disappointed when you realised the pictures on each page repeat after a while?
HQ item overall though!
Obstacle, not a barrier.

Haven't used mine yet. I want to use it though, but I want to find a very good FFXIV related use. Looked on here to find some good ideas. The journal is very nice and was well worth the extra cost to CE (so was the security token) and I love the illustrations and concept art.
-Adding recipes seems like a decent idea to me, but there are too many recipes and that would be a lot of tedious writing for me and I might fill the entire journal up with just recipes. Personally I prefer just to use The Lodestone for looking up recipes.
-I want to write in information regarding attributes or hidden effects (like FFXI), but I'm not sure there are any hidden effects yet and I want to wait until attributes are set in stone via updates. I'll try to not write things down to heavily so I can easily erase if needed. I want information that is not immediately available to me in game and perhaps not so easy to locate in a wiki (or at least not all on one page).
-I'm considering writing notes that I would probably forget regarding lore, missions, or quests and that is also interesting.
-Considering writing down map locations as well for gathering or locations of interest (however I'd rather have map markers like in FFXI).
-Considering using a couple of pages for favored foods and their effects when this info is easily available and accurate.
-Considering reserving a certain portion for writing memories of entering a new zone for the first time (too late for this with zones already create unfortunately like that feeling you get when you first enter Sky or Sea) and also for thoughts after achieving what is seemingly impossible at first attempt (like many FFXI missions such as having to defeat the Shadow Lord).
-Also considering writing in ideas regarding improvements to FFXIV to post in the forums (however this might be best just to write in a notebook, not sure I wanna put this in my journal).
I could probably fit all of these ideas within this journal.
Would appreciate any other ideas and I love this thread.

We didn't get an art book :/
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

I took it out the box, flipped through it one good time then put it back in the bax and started playing.

my little boy ate it (>.<)
I wish we had suck a book in-game like Warhammer one.

-jealousy and envy- I wish I had one...if only they issued it out as a buy-alone thing, I'll take it up fast. T_T
