Petition for Noctis Job

Because... why not? We got Squall job ( Gunbreaker ) then why can't we get a Noctis's job in the future? ( 7.0+ )

Edit: Seeing as people here got confused on how a Noctis's job would work. I decided to suggest a basic idea that can be built upon. So Noctis's job would focus on utilizing different weapons for different attacks. The weapons themselves are assigned to the actions & abilities rather than the weapon slot. This isn't something entirely new, as MCH are capable of utilizing different weapons ( Flamethrower, Cross-bows, a shotgun, etc... ) that are assigned to the actions & abilities and even their LB3 instead of the weapon slot itself. The weapon slot would have an Armiger as a weapon. How it looks like in-game? Up to the devs.

His whole thing is that he uses a myriad of weapons interchangably. I am not sure you'd be able to make a job that fits that fantasy, with how gear works regarding jobs.

Not likely. The job system in this game is based on your equipped weapon.
Noctis' 'job' is quite definitively based on being able to use any and every weapon.

That was pretty much what I was alluding to. I can't see him fitting into the niche of a single job.

The closest thing to Noctis would be the Freelancer class from FFV, but I have no idea how they'd implement that into FFXIV.

If we can't define him by something. We make him the definition. Or something like that.

'Armiger' isn't a weapon, it's a system.

Perhaps it could work with an 'Engine Blade', and be the melee magitek job, but that would seem a little too similar to a gunblade to me.
