I'm french from an EU server.

I write in the japanese forum section because I'm quite sure the rest is being ignored by the core. Please mods don't move this thread if you think it's not nonsense after reading this.

I play since 2013 and I remember the joy to being able to play with people all around the world. I remember Dzemael with japanese people, I played with american people too, at any hours you could find people to play with. Then, for whatever reason, there was the split JP/US/EU (server in Canada for months for EU but let's move on about this lol)

Now I see there is a move from the FFXIV team to add another server (AU) and more datacenters and worlds to avoid queues. Why ? There is the system of server ticks since the Playstation 3 era and it never has been changed, it's supposed to compensate lag. Why not put back all the world together with a strong server and few datacenters (linked) and being able to play all together ?

Servers hardware are available and not touched much by the covid issues. I don't think FFXIV servers would need the most new intel Xeon (which is available in the market) but if they would need it, it's avalaible.

Don't you guys want to play a worldwide game ? I do, it was the case at first, it changed, I'm pissed, the game makes money, why buying servers when you can have a huge one or some servers linked ? Big question.

I hope you enjoy the game my japanese friends as we do. I hope one day we could all play together at any hours before the end of the game.
