Wow SE, moving this thread from the healer forums to tanks. Granted the title is a bit misleading but still
It just goes to show how they really don't see the massive issues with healer gameplay. This particular topic is on how healers are completely unneccesary in so much content now and all thats left is the continuous glare/broil/dosis/malefic spam.
E4s was cleared without healers when current.
All level 90 dungeons have been cleared without healers
Both current extremes cleared without healers and regularly with just 1
P1n is the latest in a line of duties healers are just there to fill up space and rez the idiotic dps that stand in aoes
If this is the reason for the nerf, the player will stop the try.
This kill time is 1 hour, but the trial time be longer.
His efforts are to be highly praised.
Any decrease in selfsustain has to be matched with an increase in dps.
Personally I miss the time when you had to lineup your defensive cds in order to cover different hard hitting attacks from the boss and the boss also had autoattacks inbetween that made healers having to throw the tank a heal every now and then.
That is a rule that usually applies to PvP content balancing, in order to keep fair competition going.
Under normal circumstances, any Boss in a MMORPG, especially the ones inside a instance, is technically unkillable by ANY MEANS in a solo Scenario, otherwise it isnt a Boss anymore, but just a slightly stronger hitting Monster that happens to have a few more mechanics and lots of HP.
In case People have forgotten, FFXIV is in the 4th Expansion already, it is about time we stop getting the Beginner treatment all the time and slowly start to be tested seriously about what we have learned in our long journey.


I have been saying this for months. I saw it all the way back in Shadowbringers launch and it is even MORE prevalent today.
DPS and enrage being the main focus to encounter design needs to be adjusted.
1. Tanks need to TAKE MORE damage, auto attacks need to FREAKING hurt!
2. Healers need to sweat trying to keep the party alive and barely any time to DPS. Maybe throw DOT out once it a while.
3. DPS need to encounter MORE DPS specific mechanics while trying to keep uptime.
Enrage should have a soft enrage and full enrage.
Once the savage boss goes through it's full repertoire of attacks....it starts over....but with a soft enrage. 20% more damage output for 3 min or so until FULL enrage.
Tanks will most likely re meld into full tenacity
Healers will meld into piety
DPS...well nothing changes...
DPS race is no longer the focus of the game.
I don't know how many times I take a shared tank buster from p2s....and literally solo it like it's nothing. Taking tethers to the face...and just laugh at them.
I should feel scared to take a buster to the face. Instead I....yawn...
