    Seems like blue dps is still king so DRK will rule the savage

    World first was DRK , GNB and blue dps is ever more important so they will rule.

    So for all DRK whining in this forum, they are in a Good spot and no , no one cares about dungeons , if you squishy pulling wall to wall that’s the price you pay to be top blue dps.

    You need to put on some reading glasses buddy, because nobody was talking about DRK DPS despite it's gameplay/identity and it's self-sustain.

    They will rule right up until the other tanks are brought up to match their DPS.

    You need to start reading before commenting, yes DRK doesn’t have as much as sustain as WAR or PLD but they are top DPS. Do you read the part about the TRADE OFF?

    Anything less than a perfect comp, with perfect players, and perfect scenarios and DRK flops faster than anything.

    This sounds a lot like the “DRK cleared UCoB World First so it’s fine!” argument that plagued the job in Stormblood.

    Just because a certain job cleared world first doesn’t mean it is free of flaws. WHM has cleared world first in several tiers due to being a decent prog healer—but that doesn’t mean it never had any design flaws.

    Ppl are complaing that the gameplay of DRK is terrible and his kit is complety disjointed and lack cohesion, DRK have enough mitigation and excels on personal dps to secure the world first but that's doesn't mean that DRK is good, is holding the worst design of the game and his dungeon performance compared to other tanks is just one of the symptoms.
    And most important gameplay is not equal to performance, i could design a 3 button job that could perform equally if not better to any job in the game and that's doesn't make it good.

    I'm pretty sure most of the complaining on here is due to no gameplay identity... I mean sustain would be nice, but I would much prefer just a total rework of how the job plays.

    That's sick, dude! The job could still use plenty of changes to gameplay to make it more fun, though. After leveling it I literally could not care less about the mitigations we have (yep, it's fine there, I don't even care about the sustain), but the DPS rotation is just middling when it comes to fun.

    If they could find a way to keep both of those the same while improving a few animations/sound, making Living Shadow, Delirium, MP, and Blood more interesting to use, I'd actually be content with it. Why does it seem like people are so against that? Is a job with a bit more fun and management in it too much for the players? Sure, it's "fine", but people who love their job should settle for more than that. I'm aware it is asking a lot from the devs to change so much (honestly, some of which is literally just swapping existing animations with animations that already exist), but a lot of people who played the job originally feel incredibly screwed over from what they loved. Don't have to return to Heavensward or Stormblood mechanics for the job, just make it unique in its own way—which it isn't fully. It's a sad mishmash of things that deserve more effort put into them, despite being just fine.

    For what it's worth I don't really have much complaint about things like TBN in their current form, but I do not think turning dark arts into Edge or Flood usage and making Blood Weapon one of the most abysmal abilities in this game was the way to go when it comes to MP management and Blood usage. Even SB Delirium felt more interesting to use. DRK is just a weird mess that works, and works incredibly well. It's aggravating, because it's always so functional but always so oddly designed.
