Please bring back 24 player frontlines

Hello, maybe it is too early to be suggesting this since we don't know what new changes 6.1 will bring but I still wanted to ask for the return of 24 player frontlines and possibly make it a choice for roulettes in addition to 72 player frontlines.

I enjoyed 24 player frontlines more because it meant my individual contribution carried more weight compared to 72 player frontlines. With such an enormous amount of players, a lot of which aren't coordinated, things usually just boil down to hoping you have more people on your team that are trying than the other teams.

This can be frustrating especially since when I try to coordinate things I usually get replies like "I'm just here for the exp" which makes me not want to play this mode.

The issue with 24 and if it's in a roulette as is the case now is that you feel the weight of one person much more. Meaning that in such a content with so many people who have no clue what they're doing, I fear it might become the rng of who gets the more competent/engaged players with them.

So no different from 72-player frontline? Whichever team gets more players who are there to actually try and not "lol, free half-a-level" wins as it is.

    How is that an issue?

Of course, but with bigger numbers things are evened out. And you'll often have at least a few good people to play with.

Would love a return of 24-man frontline. Played it at the start of Shb before the change and found it much more fun that 72-man. Now it feels like either people melt due to deathball-zerg or it takes way to long to kill someone because the enemy has an army of healers.

Id love to have a 24 Player Frontline, but not with current Job design.

Once Squeenix realises that PvP should be Skill- and not Powerbased, Modes like that which have a smaller amount of Players will work alot better.

It was maybe an issue when you could premade a 8man team for 24 frontline and just stomp the other team. But they enforced freelancer queue system the same patch they only allowed 72 pops, weird move, as freelancer would have fixed that issue for 24.

who cares its pvp, either you get good or you keep losing - even with premades you wont always win, especially on maps with importance on pve objectives like shatter

People care since it's pvp, even if it's a minority. And 72 players add a lot of variables where premade groups have less of an impact thankfully.

Agreed. Premade groups would a disproportionate advantage. With 72 players you never know what kind of group you’ll have. Sometimes you get lucky and there’s good coordination but there’s also many groups where people run like chickens with their heads cut off, fighting in fragmented groups in the middle of nowhere, ignoring objectives or completely running away from the objective whenever they are attacked instead of trying to push.
