I don't harass anyone. I just kick them. I don't 'leave players alone' when they're wasting my time in Extreme/Savage content by having us hit enrage over and over again. I yeet them from partaking in my instance. And I expect the same treatment if I'm the one holding people back from clears. I don't like carrying and I don't like being carried. Sorry - not sorry.

What you are NOT allowed to do is to use it as a blunt instrument to scream abuse, epithets, obscenities and harass OTHER players.



Parsers have a long and storied history of flagrant abuse and misuse. Yoshi and his team DO NOT want to see that toxicity in FF 14. Neither do I ...having had a gutful of that back in another MMO. Their policy is clear cut, specific and has valid reasoning behind it. I agree with that policy 100%.

You DO have a tool to measure your own performance. You do NOT have the right or license or permission to use said tool to "correct others" or " to educate them". If they wish help, they will come to you, or to others.

They don't allow third party parsers so why would they implement it? It's not allowed. Just because you use a different platform that doesn't allow it maybe talk to the makers of a PS about that. It's not SEs fault you use a gaming system. See the excuse you don't have access to it when it's clearly against the policy is kinda weird.

Hold on a minute, because WoW was mentioned you are invalidating this person's opinion? By that logic this game has never has a parser in game so what has changed in the 8 years or so it's been around that would cause people to absolutely have to have one now? People have been clearing content without a official monitor and not harrassing others with numbers for a while now. So why is it so important to have it now?

I think I read it correctly the first and second sentence clearly states your platform and the later you say it needs to be implented because not everyone has access to a tool that is against TOS. I think I read what you said correctly. And appropriately commented on it. You want them to implement a tool they clearly don't want in game.

This Game has too big of a focus on raw damage numbers even for MMO standards which can be best seen on how Jobs are designed. I wish FFXIV would become more Skillbased in terms of Gameplay rather than Powerbased.

…. Read the person i was replying to. The only reason i mentioned my platform was because they specifically said i have access to the parser should i wish to use it, when that isn’t the case since people on console can’t use that third party program.I wouldn’t say they haven’t needed one, it’s just that people are so used to playing with clunk it’s become the norm. Again, look at Titania dps check that was literally walling people from continuing in MSQ. Pretty big problem no?

Not invalidating anything. Saying to not place assumptions on others based on negative experiences they've had in other places. I think you'd have to be pretty oblivious to not be aware of the toxic cesspool that WoW is/was. Just saying that not every game is like WoW/encourages the same type of toxic mentality and to maybe not come into a new game assuming it to be the same way.

In a nutshell: Have an open mind and give people a chance before placing assumptions on them.
