"quadruple weaving"
there are no dps checks for anything below extreme. You can autoattack normal raid bosses and regular trials to death.
Also in PF groups I'm happy to see someone have food at all, "wrong" or not.

False.
Ruby Weapon part 2 has a full fight dps check. Very lenient one, but it has an actual hard enrage. I got to see it plenty of times in my trial roulettes around 5.2.
A huge amount of the Hard mode trials from Ramuh+ have a dps check in the form of an add phase, where you must kill everything before a gauge fills to 100, or adds dont die and its effectively a wipe due to vulns.
Ramuh (must kill adds or auto wipe)
Shiva (must kill adds or auto wipe)
Steps of Faith: need I say more about the controversy surrounding the instance and why it was nerfed?
Ravana (must kill adds or Bloody fuller becomes unlivable due to vulns)
Bismark (hard enrage if snake adds dont die, or if fight drags on long enough for island to shatter from Bismark's attacks)
Thordan (Knight phase will auto wipe if it hits 100 due to player deaths, or if it drags on for too long due to the gauge slowly increasing over time)
Nidhogg (adds must die or auto wipe)
All three warring triad (adds must die or auto wipe)
And that's just the HW hard mode trials, not extreme. Every single SB trial sans lakshmi has the 'adds must die or wipe' clause, as do about half of the SHB ones. Just because they're lax doesn't mean they're not dps checks. Dps checks are everywhere in FF14, in all difficulties. There's even a dps check in the 83 dungeon. Every HW+ alliance raid also has a dps check in some way or another. Dun Scaith first boss has an actual hard enrage when the entire ship is covered in doom squares, making it impossible to dodge his death IV cast.
Titania was insanely notorious for this because hers was actually tight for the skill level of the average FF14 player, leading to tons of add phase wipes in the DF. And before they added echo so you can brute force it with enough wipes, you'd more often than not either have to decide to keep throwing yourself at it in the hopes people would stop dying/that SMN doing HW level damage would suddenly get a clue, or take the 30min penalty.

And i have seen all of these happen in the MSQ version of the fight, because "different playstyles". That excuse is just a load of crap.Ramuh (must kill adds or auto wipe)

"there are no dps checks for anything below extreme."
The Chrysalis Meteor Phase
Steps Of Faith
Ultima
The Limitless Blue (Hard)
First boss of Dun Scaith
Anything with a Duty Gauge i.e Titania add phase
Ruby Weapon Phase 1
etc etc
Theirs plenty of dps checks normally they are easy however if you have 8 people who "auto attack" or dont know their job by that point you aren't clearing it.

I wonder though, since the lockout is 90 mins, if all people just auto attack the normal trial/raid bosses how long it will take before the boss dies.
But yeah you can use that tool. Remember back when the first ultimate was released? Yeah yoshi P was linking streams of the world first race teams and well they had parsers on their screen. Also more recently the first 3 teams to clear P4S that he tweeted and congratulated, those are all parsing players as well.
Just don't harras people with it and you be good.
And while I don't really want to recommend this because 'ghosting' can make an individual feel sad, you can just kick people from the group without a word (not saying anything is actually safer for you because if you would complain about lack of dps you could get a ban), you can just use the 'difference in playstyle' and you be good.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
There was actually a speedkill group that did a 1 hour 22 minute and 35 second kill of P1N, where the damage was almost exclusively auto attacks, though I think they also spent substantial amounts of time NOT hitting the boss.

I feel this should not be called a "speedkill" but a "snailkill".
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Titania and Hydaelyn would like a word
Sure they are dead easy dps checks, but they are still dps checks regardless.
