Are japanese Datacenters really such paradises?

From what I hear content creators talk about japanese datacenters, it sounds to me like they are utopias of gaming communities
1. Nobody is ever toxic or negative, everyone is always extremely helpful and you can make friends with everyone regardless of whether you are japanese, chinese or westerner
2. They can clear all content via duty finder and party finder with extreme rates of success, be they savage or ultimates, and the skill level in japanese DCs are tenfold what you would find in NA DCs. There is never any debate or disagreements in duties.
3. Nobody ever overprices or undercuts severely in the marketboard, the economy is extremely healthy and everything is sold and bought at fair prices.
4. Nobody is ever inappropriate in social interactions, there are no sexual advances or swear words, everything is always kept E.
5. You can buy houses just by walking up to them and clicking on the placard, there are more houses than there are people who want houses.

If this is all true, this sounds like paradise for most ffxiv players and exactly the ideal world they would like to play in, but if someone here is part of a japanse DC, could you confirm or deny any of these statements?

two, the STF is based there.

I am sure its not all "paradise", but you have to realize, the people playing there are not usually westerners.

The fact that SE cannot deem it fit to have such a team for the EU and NA data centre ( they have the relevant SE offices for those countries) is quite appalling . Its one thing that stuns me about FF14 side of SE . The lack of clear and present forum GMs/Moderators , not copy paste response customer service persons , no dedicated anti troll/bot/expolit/hack/RMT staff working in the EU and NA offices like all other MMOs devs/publishers have their versions of staffing EU/NA HQs and very little dev/hr/pa to comunity communications outside of their own native forum section


Its deeply a shame especially as EU and the NA territory make up the VAST majority of this game' subscriber base.

Don't worry, the STF is just as useless there. I've seen bots often. They only seem less active in comparison because the japanese market isn't anywhere as profitable (in gil or rmt) compared to the western DCs.

Number 2 is a myth. On my Japanese alt account I have been in many parties (Endwalker especially) where the members would wipe 2-3 times or more. Number 3 is actually very true, and is most likely the main reason Yoshida will not allow that data center to be visited by North American servers especially. He said “economy and values”, and as we can see with NA marketboards and EU but mostly NA, it’s survival of the fittest on the marketboard and people resort to botting even.

Not just that, but the toxic competitiveness on NA marketboards leads to massive undercuts which doesn’t help anyone. I have noticed on JP servers, I rarely if ever see that happen. If someone undercuts too low, it gets purchased immediately and gets resold at a higher price.

I hear their stuff is generally cheaper to begin with by comparison? Or am I wrong?

1 and 5 are not true. 1, people generally keep their negativity to themselves, but it's just silence and then leaving/disband rather than yelling or insults. Plenty of discrimination and racism, not always super vocal though.

5, why would anyone think this? The housing system works exactly the same.

Also, why would a company/content creators talk negatively about anything related to their product, ever? There's that too.

If you go over to a japanese server, I'm sure you wouldn't see much of a difference.
