The force stop in movement started with Endwalker launch. Never did it prior to Endwalker. I use controller. Razer Wolverine Ultimate. Wired. It has done it both manually moving and during autorun.
It's a server issue IMO.

O-oh....so...it wasn't lag......
I've been having the same problems, during dungeons or just running around cities, my character will stop moving for a second or two and as a tank player is soo annoying. I bought a new controller thinking it was my old controller but the same thing keeps happening, I use my controller wired too. I hope they can find a solution
The culprit is the PC GamePass system on your PC and the way FF14 handles it: GamePass installs each game in a separate virtual disc, unfortunately the app mounts and dismounts them randomly at weird times causing a device reconnect event. FF14 sees that and rechecks all devices causing the input lag.
Uninstalling all GamePass games might help a bit, but in the end SE needs to fix their handling for controller handling. I really, really hope this happens soon as it it pretty much renders controller support in any kind of harder content hazardous.
To my knowledge I dont have game pass installed, and still have this problem, over wired controller not bluetooth.
I tested the typical driver/software once and got those lags as a result as well, the default windows/MS way of bluetooth connecting didnt have the problem. Having no battery info is still bad. Luckily they fixed vibration at least after so many years.
Check you EventViewer SYSTEM entries around the time the lag happens. If you see messages like "disc xx suddenly disconnected" then this is that problem I have.
