The Flood of Players will come back upon every major patch release.losing player aside, iam more worried that SE decide to give ff14 oceanic server is only because they got swept up to this "ff14 crazy player increase" trend
its all start because wow kinda on bad situation now and youtube trend with that "wow refugee", now that wow is on microsoft hand, things going to change in the future and that new server is not gonna worth of it cost, since people especially the "refugee" will return to wow later
It's mostly future proofing.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
Game focuses to much on glamour and not enough on playable content.
You realize it's normal to have "less" savage parties as the weeks go on, and towards the end of the weekly lockout. Most are prog to clear, so they clear for the first time and week. Then usually hop on to get re-clears done on Tuesday for the two chests.
Monday night two chest is a meme
Nah. P3S just sorted out the playerbase since most can't do it LOL
As an ex-WoW player, you would have to be a complete lunatic to return now. I can understand checking it out again in 2 expacs to see if it's rebuilt itself but now? Not a chance.
There's nothing wrong with enjoying both. The major difference between WoW and FFXIV is WoW is significantly more time consuming if you want to do end-game. There's grinds upon grinds for gear/legendaries, with the best stuff being weekly capped.
Meanwhile in FF you run dungeons, get 570, collectively farm 590 gear with a capped token, do raids for 580, experience savage/extreme if you so please; rinse and repeat. There's no legendary grind, there's no forced PotD grind, there's no borrowed systems, etc etc.
WoW isn't outright bad, it's just bloated with "keep players playing" mechanics. Even then, they're things that make it better than FFXIV, just as they're are things that make FFXIV better than WoW.
I agree. I loved WoW for years, finally leaving before BFA. Obviously a good decision since it was also panned. I returned a little over a year ago for a few months and was pleasantly surprised how much I actually liked BFA.
Now Shadowlands is utter garbage though and I wasn't impressed with it at all. WoD was even better than that. The game is a shell of what it used to be since all the OG's are gone who made it for the players and not for investors.
I think once players finish Savage, a lot of players are basically done. Since PVP isn't very good in this game, there's not much point in sticking around grinding gear that will become pointless come the next patch. There are other games that exist I would like to play until the next part of the story is released.
which is honestly pretty much how Yoshi and the girls and boys designed this game and I'm all for it. No need to stick to just one game for your entertainment and I very much appreciate FFXIV for not wasting my gosh darn time with systems upon systems.I think once players finish Savage, a lot of players are basically done. Makes sense. Ive done the msq, raids, and tried some savage. Crafting doesn't interest me. There just isnt that much else to do for EW until 6.1 comes. And honestly I kinda like that. I dont feel compelled to keep playing for the sake of playing.
