    Request: More weekly leveling tools like WT

    I'd love it if we had the option to do more stuff in the style of WT to get levels over the week. It doesn't have to be the exact same type of tasks or requirements but if there was something in every end hub like that for example it would not only make leveling easier by giving us more xp gain options but it would also give us more reasons to go back to older end hubs other than Idyllshire. Personally I'd like it if this was treated like custom deliveries, with different role bonuses every week. Sure it might make tome farming a tad too easy, but hey, if crafters and gatherers get it, why can't battle classes? They could even cap it at 2 turn ins per week like deliveries if that's too much of an issue, or if doing 4+ per week sounds daunting.

    Honestly, to me it just makes sense that the leveling process should have more tools available the higher level you get. A quickening leveling experience would be a good reward for getting through the story and leveling up, and it would be a fair bit less boring than spamming either fates or dungeons, or just doing dailies.

    tl;dr it's a good system give us more pls

    It gives the same EXP that a PvP roulette does each day and that's only 20 minutes of semi-effort at best.

    So if I'm following your logic, more xp options are bad because there's a daily that also gives a lot?

    Honestly if so then it has to be like...a super small weekly thing. The last thing we need is strapping weeklies upon weeklies upon dailies upon dailies in FFXIV. Just look at the mess of WoW

    It's just leveling though like it's completely optional, whether or not you do it has no bearing on your progress with whatever you're doing on your maxed out main(s). Like, plenty of people survive just fine if they miss a week of custom deliveries or a day of roulettes. Comparing it to wow is very apples to oranges considering how mandatory all of their timegated stuff is for ingame progress. And if 2 weekly xp gain options are too much then why is 1 not?

    WT is fine for the most part, but only having two tiers of "difficulty" (for lack of a better word) is getting worse as the number of additional expansions increases. It only offers duties at level 60 or below until you have a max level character, leaving players with two unsatisfactory choices:

    1. Work through the next three expansions while levelling your jobs at pace with the quest level, with a dwindling chance of clearing WT goals "naturally" through things like levelling roulette or the level XX dungeon goals lining up with your MSQ.

    2. Rush a job to level 90 while still in Stormblood/Shadowbringers MSQ. Unlock the higher rewards, but half the duties are now beyond your reach and some of the trial names are going to be extremely spoilery.


    At absolute least, the basic version you have access to before reaching max level should cover up to level 70 as the player will reach Stormblood soon enough.

    Ideally, they would add more grades of unlocks.

    Wait what? So, I'm here, sitting on 80s (cuz I'm putting off EW for a bit), and literally this entire journal every week is going to just be easy to solo?

    But yeah, would agree, it's felt a bit too limited to fulfill its design for a little while now.

    Easy to solo, but you're missing out on prize options like the treasure map or the ability to earn endgame tomes before you get to endgame.

    Well, as I said, the reason is the prizes.

    Given the weekly limit on earning the top-level tomes, you may see it as a benefit to earn at least a small amount per week ahead of reaching endgame – assuming you intend to get there before they are rendered obsolete, at least.

    And treasure maps (the unlocked third option for nine seals in the week) can potentially be sold for more than the base level prizes (poetics or a platinum piece) are worth.

    It may not be a reason for you, but it's a reason that is on offer if people want it.

    Personally I would like access to the level 61-80 duties for my not-at-90 alt because right now I'm accumulating a lot of "second chance points" through normal gameplay but not marking off duties at the same rate without deliberately spending time on it. I'm mostly getting 61+ dungeons through the levelling roulette, and I wanted to run a level 80 dungeon for glamour but I have no chance of that being a WT goal at the moment.
