ARR is still the best time in the game for me and the idea of a whole city built around the Adventurer's Guild is awesome.

Definitely Revenant's Toll for me too, something about it feels better than others, maybe because it's designed pretty tightly so everything is placed to make sense and for ease of access rather than to be a sprawling landscape meant to visually impress but not offer much in the way of actual use. I ran through the SMN job quests again recently and spend some time in ARR zones and I have to say they all feel pretty well designed and somehow more alive and atmospheric than the new ones. Especially the Black Shroud, being there during a thunderstorm even now still feels way better than anytime spent in the new places. Maybe I am getting nostalgic now that we have finished this story arc or something but ARR areas seem way better designed.

I like Revenant's Toll. The zone not so much, but this town is nice and has medieval vibes.
