Friend wants an item purchasable with sacks of nuts. Can she just unlock hunts in the Crystarium, or does she have to start from scratch with allied seals in ARR, through Centrino seals?

Start from scratch. Obtain Second Lieutenant rank which can be done in less than day, then from there the unlock quests are very quick.

Not exactly. The Heavensward hunt board in Ishgard has no second location, but the Stormblood boards in Kugane and Rhalgr's Reach use the same currency (Centurio seals). Then Shadowbringers has two boards in the Crystarium and Eulmore, and Endwalker in Sharlayan and Radz-at-Han, that all use nuts as their currency.

Looking up the required quests for the Crystarium and Sharlayan hunts, you only need to have unlocked ARR and Heavensward hunts previously. The first few Heavensward quests are at the board in Ishgard, then the last one or two from Idyllshire.

I think of the boards as where they, are they unique and which of the three kinds of seals they give, not so much as by expansion. The boards in Ishgard & Kugane are unique to each other and reward Centurio seals. Crystariam rewards Nuts with another unique one in Old Sharl. The board in Rats is a duplicate to Old Sharl.

I am getting !00 allied, 200 Centurio, and 200 Nuts from elite weekly marks each week. Might there be another board somewhere that I can do?

Oh, do you have to fully finish the ShB MSQ to start doing the hunt in Crystarium? My friend has the MSQ finished through 5.0, but not all the patch releases.

It is per expansion, whether you primarily regard it that way or not. You appear to have unlocked a board in each expansion.

No, you can unlock everything up to level 80 elite marks as soon as you've cleared the early quests of Shadowbringers, but you need to have unlocked the ARR and Heavensward hunts.

Only Endwalker places further MSQ restrictions on higher levels of the Hunt, due to the spoilery nature of the destinations and the conversations that lead to you unlocking them.
