Yep, so much work for queueing up for your daily frontline, run around like a headless chicken and get the rewards all the same.

It's a different color set than what the PvP gear has. While they have the same model, they aren't identical. I was actually really excited because I love the caster head and gloves, but the colors didn't really work well mixed with other sets (even dyed). The crafted caster set has colors and dyability that work better for me.

And they never did that again. Also, this was years and years ago at this point in early Heavensward. So...yeah. Instead, they started locking the dyeable versions of normal/Savage raid gear behind Savage raiding at the start of Alexander and continue to do so to this day, some of which have unique design additions that their normal mode counterparts don't have.

??
lol it takes like 5 frontlines to get a full set
i really don't get this complaint man, i hate reskins as much as the next guy but you're barking up the wrong tree w/ this one

Oh you mean when they didnt have a solid structure how to do raids, proven by the fact that savage versions only exist of the second tier? And what do you mean with safe in general? I can just unsync alex savage now with a bunch of idiots like me and faceroll everything. You act like savage gear doesnt already lose that kind of meaning you want it to have.
*Gasp* OMG! You are right!I'm several years too late on this, I'm sure, but having recently acquired and finished my first Zodiac weapon (Excalibur & Aegis), I was honestly stunned today when I joined a group, and saw a guy wielding the same weapon -- except it was simply a green item.
I'm personally hoping to finish one of each expansion's Relic weapons, if only to experience more of the story. But I'm not gonna lie, knowing there could well be easy-to-access reskins of any of those weapons... that kills a lot of the excitement, and feeling of these weapons being "special".
I've heard people complain about reskins and recolors before, but that's the first instance I'd encountered where I genuinely felt like something I'd earned was suddenly *less cool*, because such an easy-to-access version exists.

Even most of Stormblood's Savage raid gear is easy to get now. Just gotta do a dance or two to get through a couple mechanics (if any at all). Alphascape 4.0 is still a bit painful though, but mostly in the first half. The "Goodbye World" strategy in the 2nd half is both efficient and entertaining. lolOh you mean when they didnt have a solid structure how to do raids, proven by the fact that savage versions only exist of the second tier? More accurately the cook doesn't have the time and resources to make you a bunch of new recipes every day, so rather than letting you go hungry they give you pizza square v5.
