FFXVI meets Devil Trigger meets harmonixer meets Terra Branford...
Originally I made a thread on it being dark theme'd (demon-like Harmonixer from Shadow Hearts), but given Reaper, AND FFXVI, I think focusing far more on a primal / esper like vibe would be better. Here it's not a bleach form or temporary cool mode, it's 'the thing' you're doing. Perhaps low levels you're like late reaper / the above gif with titan fists, but there is a relatively early turning point where the mechanics get folded into 'forms', and in those forms is your general existence. Transformation based jobs will always have some gear hiding issues, which for people who want that (me) that is totally fine. Though I do think picking a cool weapon(s) that fit in the form would be a great way to add customization for players.
Weapon plural since there is off hand, which may even be separated more like Paladin- even if the off hand is just for visual customizations (changes looks, dye maybe changing some color vibes, etc). I'm not dead set on a weapon but one suggestion was using the scarf like Nezha has, or Tenne scarf as I saw another reference it, while also including some other diverse options like cloaks and such.
The idea being they're mold-able (tis cloth lol), so you might fit them easier to fit with whatever the forms were imagined to be (if it was say a sword you get pigeon holed a little bit in your designs), they have a fiber like sense so transformations could use Bayonetta like visuals as the object's color is used in part with the animation of it surrounding you. May also think Dr. Strange's cloak or Spawn's cloak. This type of weapon would also give them an opportunity to have a fairly obvious silhouette even when weapons are stored, differentiate the scouting armor greatly from Ninja (as there is a whole extra element), and could also allow for a lot of other freedom in weapon attacks. Like think of Voldemort in the last harry potter movie where he sort of uses his robes as bullets at harry (dark energy). Using a weapon through the transformation can also have a nice meaning to relics, since otherwise it would be silly to have a weapon you worked hard on just so you can never see it lol.
