Nier takes longer. The dungeons are shadow of themselves. With competent groups you hit that 10-12 minutes mark (non ShB) and now it's easily done even with first timers not reading their skill descriptions

From my point of view after the stat squish everything in the MSQ pre Shadowbringers dies a lot faster than before.

I think its too early to tell, at this point there are probably a lot of people that are leveling alt jobs that they don't play much or just don't play them at all after maxing them out at level 80 leveling them now and don't really bother to relearn the rotation of that job or never understood the job to begin with.

Example i have gotten copy factory twice since Ew the first one took a lot a lot longer than my second time around there

In my experience all content has been the same except for Stormblood content, which has taken much longer than usual. This may have been because of all the sages and reapers adjusting to their new jobs, but I had raids and trials taking a full 10 minutes where they would normally not last that long. But I'm happy with this because content being harder is good.

When I got A8 I actually saw the mechanics which is a good thing, because it was no longer fun to do it before the squish.

I think lower level content feels easier.

For example, I got into a the Factory raid. People played decently (very few deaths), but I saw boss 3 doing meteor circles where you have to stand on, which I never saw before even with a badly performed party. Or Nier Tower raid where the final boss used her lines of ring attack in second form TWICE with a decent raid, while the pre-EW badly performing raid only barely saw the ring attack once at best.

8-man is at least bearable cuz it is like 1-2 minutes extra, but 24-man is a nightmare. Any 24-man that is not Crystal Tower ones or Void Ark were painfully long cuz of HP-sponge boss, and now they take even longer to kill even with max ilv synced. This only drives more people to cheat ilv to get into Crystal Tower raids with Alliance Roulette.

Anyone else feels these raids have taken much longer to finish? Or maybe I were just unlucky?
The Nier and Ivalice alliance raids take like 50% + longer than they did in ShB to complete. Puppet's Bunker is like 45minutes long with an average group. You're not crazy. They definitely need to reduce the hp of these raids by a lot.

Think u are just getting bad groups in Ivalice just did orbonne yesterday and there is not much different pre Ew and now. for me at least

Nier on the other hand is a different story also did copy factory yesterday and it feels like how should i say it that u have minimum item level when doing it now. very similar how it was when copy factory was first released back in Shb

The seas continue to rise while the lesser moon continues to fall, and ilm by ilm, the world becomes ever more unlike itself, without the illumination of knowledge, we but vainly flail as specters in the dark.

While it makes some 24-man lasts longer cuz your synced stat is weaker, it doesn't balance the game at all, if that what you think it is for. Crystal Tower raids are still pushover like usual, and they are as quick as their ShB version. Meanwhile, other raids get longer for no good reason. Basically, players spend more efforts for the same results. There is zero sense of balance here. This just drive more people cheat ilv to get into Crystal Tower series. 15 minutes Crystal Tower vs 30 minutes (now longer) Nier raid, you know what people will opt for.

And for people who actually want challenging fights, they should stay away from the daily-roulette crowds and make their own min-ilv, no-echo party. That is what the game already offers. No point wanting a challenge that requires some learning in daily roulette where people mostly prefer brain-dead Crystal Tower.
Nah, I’ll settle for some raids being harder and hoping they get more challenging or closer to their original difficulty. The stat squish was a necessity but it had the happy effect of making some things harder.

They need to fix cheating the ilvl sync for alliance raids and make crystal tower be more challenging so new players don’t feel like the game is too boring and quit.

People who do not want to be challenged and just handed things for free should stay away from others trying to have an engaging experience and should get a trust system so they don’t have to do anything while NPCs clear the dungeons for them. People seem to enjoy trusts a lot.

It is disrespectful to the content and bosses themselves to make them so easy new players think it’s ironic they get played as big villains when they don’t do anything except die in 5 seconds. We have pity cases in this game. Thordan was such an example. Rhitahtyn another.
