I wouldn't be opposed to NIN doing more solo or light-party damage (and less alliance raid damage) but, again, what does it matter if your parse is a little lower before your rDPS is tallied and you're placed back on top? If you want pure personal damage, there are jobs aplenty for exactly that already. Do you believe your preference constitutes a large enough portion of the NIN playerbase that greatly devaluing iconic tools, per their traditional purpose, would be justified? (Not a rhetorical question.)
