Thanks, I just found one in unrestricted mode Sastasha,1where I could pick up a 1 minute poison debuff.

(This was for Smileton, where I could never find where the red/blue debuff was supposed to appear for the head boss. Now I know where to look.)

I've noticed this being a problem in the new dungeons.
Normally, the cleansable debuffs are supposed to move to the front of the buff line and is indicated with a line over it to indicate it's a debuff. They are not doing that now in the new dungeons. I kept missing Necrosis in Dead Ends because of this gross or blatant oversight, or terrible design change. I had to end up showing up to 10 buffs on characters (5 is default). The lower-level things are appropriately showing the debuffs. The new places are not, even after resetting the UI.

That's not what the line indicates. The line indicates that it may be cleansed via Esuna. Buff vs. Debuff is indicated by whether the point of the icon is pointed upward (buff) or downward (debuff)

I don't really understand what you missed, or I missed about what you quoted of mine. I said cleansable. Yet, Necrosis isn't appearing that way and is cleansable with Esuna, yet has no line to indicate that. That's the only way to get rid of it, or the player dies.

And, I am using 'debuff' as a general negative term related to what is on a character.

    It’s a semantics misunderstanding.

The end of your sentence is easy to misunderstand despite what you wrote earlier. Basically it reads as the line itself denotes a debuff (“all debuffs have lines”) when it is actually indicating it can be esuna’d. Especially when there are debuffs with no line at all.

I think you both know what’s up, just your sentence there wasn’t clear. All good!

I missed nothing, this is what you wrote:

You can separate the debuff bar from the rest of the status effects and put them right in the middle of your screen next to your character at 200% size. Makes it a lot harder to miss debuffs when they're right next to your character model.

First icon in your buff/debuff bar next to your name in the party window will show it too, as well as how many stacks of it you've got.
