We apologize for the delay in response to this issue. To answer your question, installing Final Fantasy XIV on the main drive which would be the C: drive is to avoid any future errors that may arise. Often at times, the game could produce an error if installed on an additional storage drive. As such, we recommend (or suggest) for it to be installed on that drive mentioned prior. Should the issue still persist, please try the following below:

- Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable).
- (As mentioned above) Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
