Lucy hits the nail on the head with every Healer criticism constantly. She is a person who actually plays healer, or in both our cases, used to.

The fact is, Healers are not well designed, and Square would rather sweep it under the rug. Suits me, I've stopped playing Healers, I'm a caster main now, and I've never been happier.

Got keyed into these and I have to say I love many of these idea. Absolutely most love the idea of return of Fluid Aura as 'Water' to give White Mage a consistent Damage buff to upkeep, and the scholar changes are almost all perfect.

they dont appear to have anyone on the design team who really reps healers and can help prevent the pretty common class erosion going on, or to provide either a list of things players have issues with, or a direction that healers can actually go that meshes with encounter design in the game (this is only slightly the salt from "we honestly dont know what to do with scholar" as of endwalker, since it's a universal problem for the role--even SGE with it's QoL suffers)

to clarify, when i say rep healers i mean literally. there doesnt appear to be anyone who actually likes healing on the crew (which is a problem in itself), like, say, BLM has in yoshi-p--that class will never, ever suffer a dark day, because someone who actually cares about it is present and able to suggest (or order) changes to alleviate it to the people who actually matter, and cannot simply be disregarded.

But literally the YouTube designer sarixis has done all the leg work or most of it w real solutions to improve healer gameplay. We should post this on the Japan healer forums because they get more attention.
