The reality of these videos specifically is that they are FAR too niche with a microscopic view count on someone very little presence in the community at large.
That said, there is some hope coming to light. Lucy Pyre is a newer FFXIV VTuber who is a former healer main that's talked in a low-key, high-key way about the issues with healing amongst other things. Notably of late she very quickly, yet effectively digs into healing problems here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bpx3XpXmHE&t=17s. Not to mention she casually throws healers under the bus in other videos as well.
Desperius FFXIV reacted to that video as well here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z_2ECsc5vw&t=541s
this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbWubxOTUWU&t=567s from Misshapen Chair just came out recently.
The point is, the issues healers have been suffering from over the last several years largely went ignored by the rest of the non-dedicated healer community. No one talked about these problems or acknowledged them. Now, people are, and people who have more substantial followings. If this trend can continue and more people continue to discuss this, then there's a far greater chance that something will be done to address these concerns.
FFXIV has a very positive reception as a whole. Job design philosophy has been brought into question here on the forums for years, but it's by in large been something that's been hidden beneath the positive surface, but now these concerns are bubbling to the surface more--not just for healers but for even the DPS with situations like SAM's loss of Kaiten. We don't really know how SE will respond to this growing criticism that's no longer hiding in the forums since their design choices have never been under this much scrutiny. We'll ultimately need to see how they start approaching feedback that's starting to pour out of the cracks of our little echo chamber.

I pretty much agree with almost everything he said about re working whm. But got a feeling that this will make whm as powerful as other dps :v

That should be fine healers have double responsibility so they should give us the tools to do it. They could also lower potency to make our dps abilities fall under the dps jobs.
I want it to be fun not spamming one button. I’m still confused why they don’t understand that. Each dev should be forced to play a healer and healer only for one to three months.

This is good news I wonder if we can get some of the higher profile steamers to take up this cause if they are aware of it at all. It the top ten streamers start highlighting the issue maybe the devs will look at these videosThe reality of these videos specifically is that they are FAR too niche with a microscopic view count on someone very little presence in the community at large.

On the flip side, they bigger streamers could look at it, say, "Oh nothing's wrong, they picked a healer to heal." because as far as I am aware, the bigger streamers (barring Momo) are all DPS/Tank players, and they could just as easily not see anything wrong.
I would hope that wouldn't be the case, but you can't really tell these days.
I wonder what Momo and the "pro" side of healers think about the design choices that have led to 1 button nuke spam.On the flip side, they bigger streamers could look at it, say, "Oh nothing's wrong, they picked a healer to heal." because as far as I am aware, the bigger streamers (barring Momo) are all DPS/Tank players, and they could just as easily not see anything wrong.
