    Reset Cooldowns when Using Dummies

    Hi Yoshi and Team,

I have been using dummies to practice to get better as I climb to higher levels with my DPS jobs. When I practice, I usually break the routines into smaller parts until I've practiced enough without messing up and am confident before I go to the next part. Then I reassemble it back together so I can smoothly do all parts in sequence without any issues. Kind of like the same method when you learn a new song for an instrument. My main problem is I have to wait 1-3 minutes for the cooldowns to get back up which is a lot of wasted time.
I was hoping if there is a way to reset the cooldown (as in reinstate all skills and spells to be used again) whenever I'm using the dummy. I understand this isn't the highest priority for you, but I truly believe this would be very helpful for many players.

Thank you for a wonderful game and keep the good work! ファイト!

    I concur.

I've been practicing my opener on my BLM and it's over a minute of wait for a couple of my cooldowns to come back to start again.

Would be helpful if I could reset the cooldowns.

This means Stone Sea Sky for people who have no idea what SSS is.

It's a feature that lets you test your DPS against dummies with stats based on various bosses in the game.

    I'd like this option too.
One workaround I've been using has been to use to solo queue into old trials and then drop out immediately after loading in. It's a bit annoying though.

Thank you everyone for letting me know about Stone, Sea, Sky (SSS). I will definitely look into this as a workaround.

As for the team, I read up into SSS and have a couple issues with this as the main solution for practicing. This feature isn't available for sprouts until they complete Heavensward and for jobs that are below level 60. That makes it hard for those who haven't yet reached completion of Heavensward or don't know about this feature. Most people know about the dummies because we see them in towns and most likely have witnessed them being used by others. SSS is locked away by quests and completion of MSQs which would be left unused unless players are aware of it. If SE finds a way to make players more aware of this feature, I find that it's not a great solution to the problem and makes it somewhat inconvenient for players especially anyone who wants to do a quick practice.
Again thank you again to those who mentioned about SSS. This has been very helpful! And thank you to Yoshi and Team!

To be honest with the culling of skills over the years you barely have any buttons to press in those early lvls, so not that much to practice.

With this I can agree. They're currently blue quests, the kind which unlock features, so it's in your best interest to do them all. So you'll eventually do the SSS quests too. That said if they already made the effort to put "The Smith" with his own special icon on every possible location they could find maybe they could do something similar with SSS. That could actually be good for the game, to motivate more people to try their hand at those dummies and if there's certain dummies they can't destroy then start figuring out what they can do to improve.

...Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
