No i'm just saying that war's difficulty is not the same as what makes drk difficult. So just saying "drk is like war but harder" is overlooking what makes war hard. Both can be hard but for very different reasons.
You can put a question mark somewere and not only asking a question you know. I gave examples on what question you can ask yourself while playing a war.

War for dungeons, DRK for raids.

Curious would folks feel better if tbn proc triggered from just taking any hit while its up, and if living was an enusable rather than needing a heal?

You’re amongst a larger lot that also feel your pain to varying degrees.
I just dropped DRK overall in EW after seeing WAR doing everything I can do but also managing to pretty much be immortal on top of it. Ok being top DPS tank currently is nice, but I played DRK for being a tank, and after my tank kit got completely crumbled it's just not fun for me anymore. TBN got nerfed way too much and is pretty much breaks on one hit not providing me enough mitigation, Oblation is pretty much +2 stacks of rampant, and shadow wall had a very long CD. If any other attack isn't a mag attack I can get screwed and heals would have to heal me. LD is just a "Guess I die" button, I noticed that there is a quantity of healers that will let you die, just because it's less trouble to raise you, than to waste mana and CDs on healing you.
I'm not complaining that DRK needs to be buffed and to be on top of most tanks, but it needs some differentiating rework. Now it's just being the edgy WAR reskin. Esp now that delirium and inner release are pretty much the same button. Their playstyle is almost the same now.
Idk I just wish that DRK would be closer to Blood DK in WoW - maybe more risky as a tank, but using some blood magic to create shields for themselves and party (If we want to keep it being "shield tank but risky"). Maybe remove their self heal completely if you want to keep WAR being the self sustainable tank, but give them more situational/party shields?
DRK is in so much pain!
