I've been doing this for most of the night and whilst i havent tried the bombs i have been killing only the flans and been getting 5 chests everytime.

I never kill those mites, and the only Flan I kill is the one at 14:30 in this video

No, it's a reason for more difficult dungeons to be more rewarding than easier ones. Level caps are bad, evil monstrosities.

not about being harder its about not exploiting the crap out of it. bet if it was gil you'll get banned or they'll put a fix on it.

I just did a 5 chest 24min30sec "solo" run as WHM50 (first time I try that). I only killed groups of monsters that prevented me from collecting Photocells (run through, stop at photocell, AoE until you don't have aggro and can safely pick up the thing), doesn't matter for chests, only Photocells. That means I didn't kill all the flans or all the mites, but I most likely got a good 25% of monsters along the way. I beat Shaula with mere seconds remaining for the time-attack chest, but I got it. 5 chest run.

I still don't get what the conditions for that 5th chest are, but I got it :P

No but if you dual box > play 2 characters on 2 computers at the same time, you can enter with 2 then once your in the character your not using can leave the instance. That way all drops go to your loot list only. The most I've had is 9 weapon drops in one 20 min run. Works wonders!

When I have the chance, and when she feels like it, I can do the dungeon with my wife. But sometimes she just doesn't feel like playing when I do. That's fine. I just get her character in party with me, move her to totorak and do my stuff.

They should just drop the party requirement altogether. That dungeon scales well enough in the sense that you can get a good, fun, feasible challenge doing it with different numbers of people at different levels. It's speedrun-soloable at 50, and slightly challenging at 4x25, and everything in-between works also. It doesn't really need any minimum number of players.

Toto-rak is good, but not THAT good
From the video, barbut and 5 chests were only items shown so...
200 + 250x5 = 1450 in 20 minutes
But be sure to turn things in after each solo run or you'll lose out on doubles very quickly ~_~

actually speed run chest items are worth 300 only a 50 seal difference but thought I would point it out
