    At the risk of sounding like I'm preaching, I don't think it's an English speaker thing. There really are people who find "damaged goods" not attractive. It's a terrible double-standard that should be steered clear of, but here we are.

    Having said that, I felt that that post was more sarcastic or tongue-in-cheek than anything else.
