Or JP coming to NA or EU. I think the differences are just too vast, like the completely opposite way DF and PF are used on the respective Data Centers. Plus I think JP coming to NA might be a report wave waiting to happen. There are cultural behavioral restrictions I see described by JP players around these forums that are acceptable behavior on NA, for instance. I wouldn't want people to get reported due to that.

Let's not do that. I don't think there's any room for xenophobia or needless division here. It's bad enough that these stupid pointless borders exist to begin with in the real world, we don't need to be constructing them around ourselves in a virtual world as well.

I think people like to exclude Japan because they're the ones who have expressed concern over cross regional data center travel. Being concerned about the gameplay style and culture being too different in the West and ruining their way of doing things. Personally I'd prefer Japan to be excluded from it over not getting cross region DC travel at all, it's just stupid to punish the rest of the world for something Japan doesn't want to happen but everyone else does.

Exactly. It isn't about racism or xenophobia, it's about respecting the wishes of a community that does not want to be included in the whole cross region thing.

I guess, the biggest JP fans are already on Tonberry. And it should be easy to block the JP datacenters for travelers.

A big ol +1 to this one. Most of my friends still playing the game had to make the unfortunate decision to move back to US servers after being in EU for a while - I can't join them because of my FC, and they can't join me because they'd basically need the power of foresight. Please let us play globally! Restrict us in severe ways if you really have to - just let us play with our friends is all we ask.

Um... hello. It would appear nobody here does their research, and my assumption be wrong but just in case:

- This is a feature confirmed to be on the works.
- They will first enable Regional Cross-Data center visits, and eventually they wanna implement Cross-Regional Data Center visit.
- Before ALL OF THAT... they want to implement the new Data Centers and boost server stability, for which they just announced a roadmap.

Always do your research and be patient.
