I just posted but I'll post here again.

Incredibly disappointing decision. Our community has been raiding on NA servers since 2013. What incentive is there to go to OCE and leave everything behind? We've travelled the world IRL and met each other from this game....

Was really hoping to be able to move to OCE and play with our NA family still but GG. I won't be moving my main, neither will my raid group.

If they're so concerned about people going to the Japanese servers, just close them off. They can have their own space, I'm sure the rest of us don't care. Nor are we that ridiculous, tbh. Expand your community and raid experience 10 fold? No thanks, we're xenophobic. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face.

And in what part do they say exclusively that this is to keep people OUT of the Japanese servers specifically?

While a good thing overall (to have more servers and more movement that we currently have), I am really disappointed we can't travel to any Data Center. As an Australian, my in-game friend group is going to be split, it does not matter if I stay in the centre I am in or change to get a lower ping, I won't be able to play with everyone I want to and will have to make a choice.

Here's hoping they reconsider based on the feedback and open it up to every center, hence me making my first forum post.

As someone whose friend group is also going to be split due to the OCE data centre implementation, I do hope there will be some way to play with others across regions. Perhaps even just implementing cross-region Party Finder. That would solve the economy concerns.

I really hope they will reconsider and let us visit Datacenters outside the players region, as I have both people on NA and EU data centers I play with and would feel great not having to keep two characters fully up to date just to do be able to play with both groups of people.

When it comes to the economy concerns they could just make it so when you are visiting another Data center (inside and/or outside your region) you are blocked from using the Market Board or trading with people, like how you are locked out from using your retainers when visiting another server. I know the economy worries are only one part of it but its always something they could try to fixed that part ^^

I do hope that there's something more than these cultural differences behind the delay, since if it's just that, there's a pretty good chance we aren't gonna see it, considering how JP is with that kind of thing.

If they really think that there could be a cultural problem with the JP data centers then they should keep them closed for DC travel. But i do not see any reason why the NA and the EU DCs should be also separated.

I'd be happy for NA / EU / OCE to be joined - OCE marketboard is going to be a barren desert for a long time.

I was actually hoping for NA/EU server/region visit so I could play with my old FC buddies. They have to take it into "consideration", but it's clear it won't happen.
