Had a look at it myself, and yes, the German and French version do say "ingame economy and market prices". But in the Japanese one "values" is used too (価値観)
So guess they do wanna keep things JP ONRY!...

As someone whose friend group is also going to be split due to the OCE data centre implementation, I do hope there will be some way to play with others across regions. Perhaps even just implementing cross-region Party Finder. That would solve the economy concerns.

I really hope they will reconsider and let us visit Datacenters outside the players region, as I have both people on NA and EU data centers I play with and would feel great not having to keep two characters fully up to date just to do be able to play with both groups of people.

When it comes to the economy concerns they could just make it so when you are visiting another Data center (inside and/or outside your region) you are blocked from using the Market Board or trading with people, like how you are locked out from using your retainers when visiting another server. I know the economy worries are only one part of it but its always something they could try to fixed that part ^^

I do hope that there's something more than these cultural differences behind the delay, since if it's just that, there's a pretty good chance we aren't gonna see it, considering how JP is with that kind of thing.

If they really think that there could be a cultural problem with the JP data centers then they should keep them closed for DC travel. But i do not see any reason why the NA and the EU DCs should be also separated.

I was actually hoping for NA/EU server/region visit so I could play with my old FC buddies. They have to take it into "consideration", but it's clear it won't happen.
