Is there a need to level TRUSTS?

I'm not sure I understand what they are anymore. I'm pretty sure before Endwalker, Trusts had to be leveled in order to be used in dungeons higher level than they can do but now you can just do them whenever using Scenario mode instead of Avatar mode.

Other than being a completionist, is there a purpose to level your Trust partners? Does your loot improve if you go in Avatar mode instead of Scenario? Does Thancred stop saying "MY TURN" and move the stack marker in danger? lol jk

From my experience there’s an achievement, and you can change costumes of each Scion members to their respective other costumes. ARR for Urianger, HW for everyone else. I heard somewhere the AI was supposed to get better for Avatar mode, but I’d love to see a tactics menu for Trust.

You're saying that we can pick costumes but it can only be pre-selected costumes? I can't put a skirt on Alphinaud or Thancred?

Yes, pre-selected, one alternate costume each. You can also pick any Scion for any dungeon, regardless if they were there in the MSQ.

However, that's for Shadowbringers. In Endwalker you only get an achievement and nothing new at all. There is almost no point to level them past 80.

I got them all to 90 to run stuff with not waiting for dps queue and getting the loot drops to turn in to GC leveling up the fc rank xD and yeah like other 2 people stated , nothing new . You can change their respective outfit glamours at 80 and 90, achievement title Trusted Friend for 80 and The Seventh Dawn for 90. That’s pretty much it.

It's really just something to do.
The title is "Of the Seventh Dawn" i believe so if you wanna really get your scion on, that's a reason to go for it. That said, I likely won't (not partially because I already have my perma title).

I mean, they are at least better than my grand company squad. Sometimes you just want a single player grind and some nostalgia. It is nice for them to be topped off level-wise for those days
