In game mini-games like Terra Master or Triple Triad

In regards to "content" I would love to see an in game card game that players can play one another, or they could challenge NPCs to play a game of cards.

I know everyone has their favorite card game from past Final Fantasy titles, so one of those, or something new, but I think it would be a fun distraction as well as open up more content that would be both PvP content (playing other players) or PvE (playing NPCs in towns or camps)

Cards could be collected, traded, found, dropped, bought, or won. Before a card game players could wager a card, or the winner gets to pick a card from the players deck. Or players could choose just to play and not bet a card, but perhaps an item, etc.

Later down the line, there could be tournaments held with prizes to be one.

Anyway, just a thought, would love to see this in game. Keep up the good work.

I never played Triple Triad, But Terra Master was a pretty fun past time..... for when i could not find a group for the life of me lol. It would be a fun thing to do with your LS mates or friends while your just chillaxing in the city.

Just like in FF8 where you can run around and challenge NPCs. Also let me learn "Monster Card" so I can farm cards.

Let me put an icon above my head that says I want to take on all challengers.

Let anyone who wants to observe a match in progress.

Let there be two types of PvP matches just like in online mode in Street Fighter 4: Normal Match: which is like a friendly game, and Ranked Match, which lets people battle for rank points.

Create a server wide leaderboard to see who is the best card master

Hold tournaments for cool prizes.

Let participants of matches bet (items, gil, cards, etc) over the outcome of the match.

Put in a whole crapload of cards, and watch the OCD playerbase swarm in.

Keep the rules SIMPLE yet allow for high level play. Triple Triad was good at this. Tetra Master was a clusterfark of confusing hexadecimel letters and numbers.

This would add in solo content, as well as PvP content at the same time, give people more things to do, and add loads of entertainment value to this game.

Part of the excitement would be to venture out to the boonies and find NPC who have rare cards and try to beat them.

100k new subscriptions guaranteed.

Triple Triad could also be a decent gil sink.

Have card shops in all 3 cities. Each shop sells starter packs and booster packs that feature NPCs and monsters from that region.

Starter Pack 1: 5,000 gil - Contains 10 random low level cards, and one random medium level card.

Booster Pack 1: 50,000 gil - Contains 5 random low to medium-high level cards.

Booster Pack 2: 150,000 gil - Contains 5 random medium to medium-high level cards, with a chance for 1-2 of them being high level cards.

The best cards have to be "Monster Carded" from high rank mobs, or won from a high rank NPC, or as tournament prizes.

I would also approve of them opening up parlay(sp?) to be played against other players it's already in the game it would be far easier to do then implementing a whole new system.

the game suffers from so much, I don't see why a mini game would be of any use to it's potential player base

Yes goonMagi, they need to fix a lot before this is even considered but assuming they do all that they need to...... I enjoyed the mini games from FFVII. The Snowboarding was just as good as the actual snowboarding games out at the time. ^^

I loved Triple Triad. I loved playing the game and I loved collecting the cards. I also think they should add in some of the most memorable characters of all the FF series as cards. I can see the shouts now, I got got the ultra rare Cloud Card. Well my Cecil card can kick Clouds...anyway you get the idea. I love this because it gives you something else to do besides craft and fight. I think is should be implemented in game though not like tetra master was in FFXI. I didn't play it because, 1 it was an extra fee and 2 separate game.
