I keep getting disconnected due to 90002

I decided to make a post here, as I do not know what else to do. Here are the steps I have taken to resolve the issue:

    *reinstall game
    *change DNS to Google's
    *Disable large send offload
    *Disable energy efficient ethernet
    *Bought brand new ethernet cables
*Contact Sqenix support - they did not help and blamed my ISP
*Contacted my ISP - all looks fine on their end, but they sent out technician anyway
*Brand new modem, Brand new Router
*Tried connecting ethernet to pc via direct connection to modem
*Tried connecting ethernet to pc via direct connection to router
*Disabled literally all background applications except essential Microsoft services.
*Closed literally every unessential application including those in the background
    *Disabled Antivirus
    *Disabled Firewall
*Created exception in router settings for all FF14 ports (even though I have ethernet)
*Deleted all browsing data, cache in every browser on pc
*Updated literally every driver on pc
    *Tried compatibility mode
*Ensured that FF14 runs in Admin mode
*Uninstalled every other program on pc that I am not using
*Purchased VPN, and tried various locations (ie. Canada, Mexico, East coast US, West coast US)

After all of that, I still have constant 90002 or 90001 errors. They usually occur in an instanced area, such as a dungeon or raid, but have also occurred in random world areas and cities.

I run windows 10, and play through Steam.

I have also run tracert, and WinMTR. I have severe packet loss on Node 11, which is apparently an NTT backbone. Packet loss ranges between 75%-90%.

My ISP has been really helpful in trying to help me with the issue, especially considering they sent out a technician and installed brand new equipment. I have 500gb Fiber through Metronet, in the Midwest US.

Sqenix support was not helpful at all. Basically they said "You already tried everything that we would have told you to do to resolve the issue, so we cannot help you further. You need to contact your ISP"

I don't know what else to do. I'm not about to continue paying for a sub, as well as a monthly VPN, when I cannot even complete a dungeon or raid without a disconnection. Someone, anyone, please help me

90002 is the connection error that kicks you out of game. Much like 90001 or 90006. I believe you are referring to the 2002 error that kicks you out of queue when trying to log in.

you said you had a technician install brand new equipment. i also see that a lot of troubleshooting has been done. so if i may ask one thing, do you have two devices for your network, such as a modem AND router?

edit: i see you mentioned having a modem and router. are you certain that your devices are in "bridging" mode? if its not enabled, it can cause this issue.

Thank you for your reply. I just checked my router configuration, and it is not set to "bridge", it is set to automatic. I will try setting the configuration to bridge and report back if this helps the issue. Thank you again for a suggestion I have not considered.

Edit: Set the configuration to bridge, Reset the entire network, went back into game, and got 90002 error within 5 minutes.

Constant disconnects for me today as well and it's not even peak hours.
Think it might be on SE's end.

Can you install pingplotter and see if theres any major packet loss? you can get your DC's/Worlds ip address from the unofficial server status website.

I had WinMTR already installed, I think it does the same thing. I noted in the OP the drastic packet loss from the NTT node. Won't let me link the Screen, but it is node 11. 74% packet loss on most recent scan. I don't know if I am allowed to post the nodes address here or not, so I won't but I looked up the owner via ArinWhoIS and it is the NTT node.

I am having this same error, and sometimes can't even connect to the lobby server, basically since Endwalker released. In my case, the disconnects can happen regardless of what I'm doing, and only seem to be getting worse (Since even the lobby server refuses my connection a lot of the time now). I have actually identified where the problem is, but can do literally nothing about it and I am at my wit's end.

The problem is Windows Firewall. Fine, right? Just disable the firewall? Except you can't. Once disabled, the firewall will turn back on all by itself after a completely random period of time. Yes, completely random. And Microsoft says this is functioning as intended. So, the only real solution is making FFXIV an exception in the firewall. Except I've done that, and it worked fine for YEARS until suddenly, in December, it didn't. So I reset the firewall settings and discovered something else.

Unlike literally every other internet enabled program on my computer, FFXIV does not trigger windows to ask me to make a firewall exception on launching. Cool, so I just added every single EXE in the entire install folder as an exception. Didn't help either.

The only solution I have found is turning off the firewall, which is not a solution at all. Because then I will be disconnected the very second the firewall turns back on without any warning at all, which is not a thing I should be having happen in an online game. And as stated before, Windows chooses a random time to turn the firewall back on, without asking the user for input.

Please tell me somebody here knows what to do about this, because I have run out of helpful google results, and can't seem to talk to Microsoft directly, only post on their incredibly unhelpful forums.

As for why I posted it here, I think the OP might have the same problem, and my mention that the problem is windows firewall might help in their own troubleshooting. At the very least, we're both being frustrated by the same error code.

I also created exceptions in Windows firewall for every single exe in the FF14 folder, as well as adding exceptions for every exe in my Steam folder. This did not help address the errors. I also completely disabled the Firewall, then launched steam and FF14. Still got the 90k error. I also have disable and uninstalled all AV software from my pc. Issue persists.
