Thread: When is patch 6.08

When’s the balance patch coming does anyone have a date? Almost all of my raid team plays classes that could benefit from balance buffs and I’m not having anyone swap off of thier main classes to stay in Meta so this Patch is very important to us.

Sop caring about meta? This isn't WoW and all the jobs can clear savage content.

It's still pretty early in the expansion, they haven't quite hit the finetuned balance that they achieve a few major patches into the expac yet. From what I understand, some classes are noticeably worse than others atm, and for people trying to get early savage clears, it can make it harder. Like for most content any class is fine, but it might be harder beating p4s right now on dancer than bard (from what I understand).

Only SE knows.

However, from past patch scheduling, I'd estimate it will arrive Feb 8th, give or take a tuesday.

But playing meta jobs can turn those 1% enrages into clears, especially early in a tier.

obviously some stuff need help in dps department but if you know how to play your job well and do mechanics it will be fine,
especially since everyone will have some form of upgrade so itll be even easier and get easier.

If you're playing the meta, are geared for savage, and still can't beat the enrage I don't think the problem is a lack of a balance patch at this point given that people are clearing content.

By the same token, though:

This isn't WoW; people here bar jobs over trivial differences in performance since nothing brings particularly unique non-rDPS utility.

But most people aren't the best in the world. A lot of people forego crafted gear. Playing more powerful classes can help compensate for these factors, especially early in a tier.

They can also not play them and still be fine overall, but it may take them longer to clear each fight. And maybe they don't care, which is also fine.

My static has 2 players running jobs that are frequently told to kick rocks by the PFs that think they can only clear with meta jobs (DNC & NIN) and the only time we see the enrage castbar on 1 & 2 is with multiple deaths or damage downs. And we're still progging 3 so it's not like we're super mega world proggers or something.
