I'm sure there would be 2-3 new content coming with 2.02.0 isn't until Jan 2013. So I would honestly say during the beta phase to really not expect much..probably even less than what's in the current version since if you've already done all of the content in current game, you won't have new content to do in 2.0 beta since that's the main thing that's being ported over.
There is still enough time until Jan 2013 for SE to bring some surprise content for 2.0
It would not be "1.23 + new engine + new server structure + new maps" only.
Also, most of Version 1.xx content won't be in 2.0.. so they have to make alot of new content to counter it
*ahem*
Hamlet Defense
Leves
Behest
Primal Fights
Instanced Dungeons
Beastmen Strongholds
You can be fairly certain that the bulk of these will remain intact or just map/quest modified.
What's going to disappear is the story-line, replaced by something completely new and appropriate to the era.
Still hope they keep the Path of the Twelve story-line to an extent, and make some unique dialogue in the beginning for those who survived the fall of Dalmung. It'd be nice if we were recognized like old pals instead of strangers.
True but there's 1 minor detail:*ahem*

Most things that they will put in FFXIV 2.0 will be Different then the current version were playing right now.
-Ifrit/Moogle/Garuda etc the battle itself will be different
-Dungeon Maps will be altered (won't looking the same)
-Maps will be different, so Stronghold looks will def, look different also
-Leves will still be around BUT they won;t be the center point on how FFXIV 2.0 works
Yoshi-p stated a long time ago that 2.0 is going to be different.. sure the content (primals/Dungeons/etc) will be there yes.. but the battle itself will be run differently.
I'd like to see you cite your sources on all these changes. Haven't heard a lick about them changing existing primal fights (beyond the fact that the engine will make these fights cleaner and less lag-hampered)True but there's 1 minor detail:

Especially Leves. So far I've gotten no assurances that Leves won't remain as the primary solo leveling means, and thus the focus of the leveling grind (For many this is a big catch because they want low level content.)
Most of what I've seen outlined has been what seems to be endgame content. I've seen no promises to revamp the current versions of the Primal fights and no promises to take the importance away from leves.
I have, however, seen the announcement that the main cities are remaining relatively the same as they are now, with the exception of a bit more exploration and ease of traveling.
And no word at all for an overhaul of existing dungeons, but rather promise of more, better looking ones. Probably a safe assumption that DK, AV and the like will remain mostly untouched.
And the battle system has been revamped already. You're pretty much looking at what's to come battle wise in 2.0. Aside from UI changes to better accomidate keyboard and controller differences the battle pacing isn't going to be all that different.
What we're getting is a new map, new client, and new content. But a lot of what they've been adding since the 2.0 announcement? You can be assured that'll likely port over to 2.0 with minimal changes - they even made a note of porting over such content in their outline.
I'm not going to go digging up sources that will take quite some time to find, All I'm going to say is, you'll see when it happens.I'd like to see you cite your sources on all these changes.
