I think it was a mistake to have a Welcome Back Campaign at this state - with the engine the way it is and and entirely new story taking up the path of the starting stories and parts. I'm hearing more complaints than even interest in returning - and my guess is that will be the tune of things until well after 2.0 is releaced.

As excited as I am about the game itself once again, I have no illusions that this will be anything sot of a continuous uphill climb socially. There will be no glorious return or miraculous forgiveness. This will be a long and bitter campaign to gather a scrap of the initially interested people and perhaps some new ones.

I'm tempted to 'go dark' on the forums once again and just let this drama play out while I play the game. Personally I found a good group, and am actually having a lot of genuine fun with the game with what we have and that gives me hope with what is coming.

But few will see things that way when they first come in because they're often expecting the social experience of it to just be handed to them. Along with a permanent pointer to every bit of content they're overlooking.
