What the PS3 will have is a different engine from the PC version. Wether this calls for different servers or not I cannot say.
We will know by the E3 vidoe. Personally think there will be lack of content afterwords for us older players. Dev's will still be fixing server problems from max servers and PS3 players coming in. I there there might be a release delay of a week.
I'm personally looking forward to E3 vid.
I think Square Enix will have some what a Field Day.
With FF Type Zero (ENG) VITA/PS3 Release. FF13 Versus might actually show up (I Don't expect them to show it until Tokyo Gameshow this year)
Maybe see new Tomb Raider gameplay-(SE is somewhat working along with another company with this) Lastly FF14 Vidoe saying the rebirth of a totally new World, Chocobo Barding, New EG area, battle screen shots with new enemies, new CGI opening and new story screenshots.
I believe that part of the reason for the early release to current players is to test the stress placed on the new servers by actual play from the current population. They should be able to tell right away if there is a problem and correct it prior to release. After the failure of the current version at launch I believe it is imperative for SE to launch on time and they have planned to make this happen. We will know by the E3 vidoe. Exactly, Thats why it's Technically a 2.0 beta but its not for us, because we get to play it way in advance without losing anything before it goes live to other people in January, so that we can stress test it for 3-4 months, so that FFXIV 2.0 Servers can take a Massive amounts of players without trouble.I believe that part of the reason for the early release to current players is to test the stress placed on the new servers by actual play from the current population. This is a good call to do, something they really didn't do for 1.0 all that much.
I'm struggling to understand the purpose of this thread.
